Product and Feature Description

The Emulex Storage Router Model 735 delivers 200MB/s bandwidth in a 1U, half-rack form factor and is easily deployed in clustered, high availability configurations. Each router connects to a SAN through a 2 Gb/s Fibre Channel port and to the IP network through a copper or fiber 1Gb/s Ethernet port. The dedicated FCIP encapsulation engine ensures high performance and low latency. Hardware-based compression ensures full WAN utilization up to T3 line rates. No additional host or server software is needed to provide seamless, transparent connectivity and sustained wire-speed performance. Integrated Web-based management and configuration wizards ease deployment on both ends of the IP link. Traffic statistics on each storage and network interface are monitored and accessible via SNMP, a CLI with Secure Telnet (TLS), and a secure browser (HTTP, HTTPS). Centralized management continually monitors power, thermal, error and performance indicators, alerting network administrators of any abnormal conditions. Configurable logging and alert severity levels facilitate device monitoring and network diagnosis.
